Our Tour Director Kathy went above and beyond to be professional, caring, knowledgeable of all locations. A very well planned itinerary. Especially loved being by the ocean!

Seacrest in Falmouth: no hot water for 1 day for several travelers, one person experienced a roof leak. Food was excellent. Tour manager was excellent. Made the best of everything when weather didn't cooperate. Whale watch canceled due to weather.

Trip could have been better if it had been a month earlier. Whale watching was canceled and would have loved to go . Seacreast Hotel was not a 4 star even though food was great! Tour guide was the best!

The tour was somewhat interesting with many problems, mistakes, bad information and lack of professional structure. Will not do a Collette bus tour again. Very disappointed.

Not enough time on our own to explore islands we visited. Would like to have had more time at our excellent hotel on the beach. Exhausting tour, but tour guide and bus driver were wonderful.

Wonderful tour guide Jessie. Knowledgeable and fun. The places we visited were beautiful and historic. Great food! Joseph the driver was great. The whale watch cruise was better than I could ever hope for.

We paid an upgrade of $590 for four nights at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel for a view of the ocean. The section of the hotel we were in is perpendicular to the beach and we were in the last room, the farthest room from the beach. They should have told us that we would rarely be in our room because we were out on tour and that it was a hike to get to our room. Not a problem for us as my wife and I walk 2-1/2 miles every morning, but we paid extra and those who did not pay extra were dropped off right in front of the main building where the restaurant and bar were located. We had to hike outside to the restaurant. Those who did not pay extra did not have to go outside in the elements to get to the restaurant like we did. We did not even get a King size bed!

I liked the 3 and 4 nights in one place. Enjoyed all, but the Cranberry tour was very interesting. The boats and sail boats all ******* in the beautiful blue water in the harbors was awesome. Enjoyed the sea food.

Everything was good. Timing of tour route was perfect.

Jean, our tour manager, made every experience memorable. My favorite activity was the whale watching tour.

Great tour guide and driver, Marc and Josef. They made a great team. Marc gave good suggestions for restaurants and places to check out.

Dune tour was fun and information I did not get O go on Nantucket city tour

One of the places we stayed was out of ADA compliance in three areas. One locked wheelchair ramp into the on-site store. Two doors with push-button access that didn’t work. The heavy door to the room that didn’t stay open automatically to ensure ease of access to the room.

Eating lobster with how to do it instructions from our tour guide and whale watching. Found the cranberry bog tour to be extremely interesting.

The tour started in Providence Rhode Island. There was nothing worth seeing in Providence or Block Island. Tour was better after that

The location, the detailed tour information and the wonderful tour manager. The whale watching experience exceeded our expectations.

Whale watching adventure was fantastic

Location of hotel terrible. Islands tours were fine because of Tour Director, Joani. Other than Providence, hotel was way too far from anything. Long, long bus rides to and from sights.

It was a great trip. Loved the tour guide Melanie. Only downside was our connecting flight was 40 minutes. We would have missed it if it hadn't been delayed. Had to shuttle to another terminal in Philly. Need more time to connect. Our flight out of Boston was delayed. For future reference to whoever manages flight schedule

In the short time i was with the tour loved the trip to Newport. Beautiful tour of Rosecliff, one of the historic homes.

Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket ride to Cape Cod was too long without any good stops.

Overall disappointing/ bye driver was very nice Beach resort very nice but no tone to enjoy

Most memorable experience Nantucket, because our last name is Macy - ancestors are from there.

We were 41 strangers at the start of the tour but close acquaintances by its conclusion. My favorite memorable experience was standing in front of the Plymouth Rock and allowing myself to imagine what it must have felt like for the Pilgrims when they docked in this new foreign land. The entire tour was fondly memorable.

Excellent tour and information. We visited unique sites, and had adequate free time. Absolutely loved Nantucket and Newport.

Loved all the museums and especially enjoyed the cranberry bog. Getting the feel for the real locals (like the cranberry bog) is so much better than going to tourist spots.

Love Nantucket! Wish we could have spent the night there and enjoyed an extra day

Unfortunately the weather was horrible so the experience was not as pleasant. The trip was well organized but did not lend to flexibility in bad weather. Our days could not be flipped based on weather changes.

Liked time in Providence. Wish the weather forecast would have been considered to alter plans once we arrived at thre Cape. The sights we saw got a little redundant. The hotel in the Cape was not convenient. Why book a hotel on the shore when you are never there and your guests are not given views of the water.

Nantucket Island and whale watching

We have traveled with Collectte for the last 3 years. Why? Because we don't have to worry about any aspect of the trip. Just pay for it and go.

Tour guide was terrific and we had a great time

Memorable experience was the Saturday night river walk and the lighting of the caldrons in the river.

The itinerary was very good

Christina, the tour manager, was so considerate of my dietary considerations and my comfort. Everyone else’s needs were so well met by her. My memorable experience was the ferry rides and the touring of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyards. The ease of the whole trip was wonderful.

The historic value of the Boston tour was addressed very thoroughly. It was very enjoyable.

Enjoyed the ferry rides, and all the harbor views. Nantucket was my favorite.

I loved the lobster dinner and the whale watching. The people on our bus were super friendly and so much fun. It helped make the trip one I will remember. Tour manager and coach driver really earned their money and more.

One good hotel, one not so good. Early times on board. This is supposed to be vacation! The beach resort on Falmouth was fantastic.

To much shopping time, not enough outings.

We saw so many wonderful sights. Providence, Boston, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket.

A wonderful area for history information on the beginning of our country.

I wish the sea side hotel was not so far away from other businesses.. We did not have the opportunity to go eat at any of the local places without the added expense of a cab or Uber. The Nantucket issue mentioned earlier.

It was nice to see a different part of the country.

The tour of Boston highlighting buildings and sites from the colonial era was magical and brought to life by our local guide Kiki.

My tour manager was PERFECT! She kept us motivated, let us know our time line, and told lots of interesting stories. Joani was a lot of fun!

The tour itself was wonderful. Joani Somyk, tour manager, was outstanding. She was friendly, efficient, informative, patient, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Kenny the motor coach driver was a highly skillful(!!!) driver who maneuvered tight spots with ease and confidence. I enjoyed a side tour to a (at the time) closed grist mill/fish counting station outside of Providence, RI. The area was beautiful and the place uncrowded. I think its remote location was especially beautiful.

They gave what was promised. Except for the whale watch which it turned out to be too cold and the whales had left. Instead we took a ferry ride, I believe, but that was something new and very enjoyable.

We've got a ton of great memories from our Collette tour to New England ... and we've done other tours with Collette and will very likely be letting them take us on adventures in the future!!

so many memorable times. i liked the cranberry stop; very knowledgeable and informative. want to say more about deby, the tour manager but no space for comment below. she is nice and she is friendly. when on the bus and she is talking and giving us information, she starts a sentence and then doesn't complete the sentence...leaving me hanging, with incomplete sentence. time and time again. i listen because i want to learn where i am going and what i am seeing. she must not know she is doing this.

We did not have enough time in many of the locations, eg Newport , and far too much time in others , for example the Cranberry farm.

The trip was good. The hotel in Providence could have been better.

Such an interesting location with beautiful sites and fascinating details of each. Authentic crab feast and the typical Thanksgiving lunch at the Plimouth Plantation were my highlights...along with the authentic reproduction pilgrims' village.

Loved Newport and mansions! Especially meaningful trip for us as my husband's family is original from Newport, RI. Loved seeing it through his eyes, what he remembered, what was different. Martha's Vineyard and the Methodist Camp cottages were outstanding, Nantucket, Boston--all of it was great! Loved seeing the Monument to the Forefathers.

Tour very nice and educational. Best place was Plimouth Plantation. Enjoyed short tour in Boston also. Wish we would have had a little more down time at the Hotel on the ocean.

Magnificent, beautiful, educational.

Nantucket was a favorite. Especially enjoyed the island tour. The accommodations on Cape Cod were fabulous. Beautiful views out the dining room windows.

The tour was wonderful. It's hard to pick a single favorite but I did love Nantucket. Fall is a great time for travel.

Loved the Islands. The lobster boil was the best.

We loved it all but would really have enjoyed a few more choices. I wanted to do the river walk or cliff walk but there was no choice we had to tour 1 of 2 mansions and no walk.

It is difficult to choose a favorite experience because each day we experienced something new. From learning and experiencing the history of the Pilgrims to whale watching, walking and eating on Federal Hill, and visiting Martha's Vineyard Boston and Nantucket and so much more, it was excellent.

The tours were very informative. The tour guide were knowledgeable about their area.

I thought is was informative and the knowledge and extras that were included were very interesting. Having never been to to New England, I thoroughly enjoyed the New England Boil meal and the demonstration of how to eat the lobster. Jozef even helped me with mine when I was having trouble. The littleneck clams were good also, I had never had them and came home and made them for myself. The nature of the wildlife was even included. Jim pointed out where and osprey and these other birds (can not remember the name) lived close together even though the osprey would prey on these birds. The days were full and complete and routation of seating on bus put your with other people on the tour.

Mansions in Newport and the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket

This was my 3rd Collette tour and I felt this one just wasn't as good as the others. Boston local guide was terrible and we didn't experience enough of the city's history.

Visiting the cranberry bog was really nice. Getting to see some of Providence and Boston was really nice. Taking scenic routes was great.

We loved seeing so much of Cape Cod on this tour. Did things we wouldn’t have done on our own, like our fabulous whale watching trip, a visit to a cranberry bog, and a Pilgrim Thanksgiving meal with our group. So much fun! We loved Martha’s Vineyard and Nantuket, though would have liked a little more free time on both islands. We felt rushed in these beautiful spots that are meant to be relaxing. The local guides that took us around were great. Lots of interesting stories to tell. Hotels were both nice, and food was really good. Overall it was a fabulous vacation!

Also, I'm unhappy about paying the "single supplement" for a solo traveler. It would be very nice if Collette would avoid or even reduce this single supplement especially for return Collette customers. If so, I would be more likely to book another trip with Collette.

I loved it all, from cranberry farm, to Pilgrim events, to islands, and dune tour! Woo's Hole would be a great addition.

This tour was excellent. Melanie, the tour director, is a New England Native and her knowledge of the region was amazing! Her love of the Cape made us all connect to the area.

Overall a very nice tour; sometimes we were offered adequate time to see and do and other times not so much. I enjoyed Nantucket very much. Not enough time spent in Martha's Vineyard and did not feel we saw the entire island (e.g. Gay Head) via the local tour. I thoroughly enjoyed the whale watching tour in Provincetown; however, it took too much time that we did not get to thoroughly see and shop Provincetown and did not have time to walk over and see the Pilgrim Monument either. In Boston, we all enjoyed the local tour; however were disappointed that we had to do Paul Revere House on our own time and $$ and only saw Bunker Hill from a distance. It would have been nice for the bus to stop at Bunker Hill for us history buffs. It was too far to walk to see on our own. Also, it would have been nice for the bus to stop at Beacon Hill for us to get out and take photos. Tour book said we would spend time in downtown Falmouth, but our guides never took us there for shopping and dining--we had to Uber over there from the very much isolated Sea Crest Hotel where we were not going to pay $12 per person for a hamburger!! Sea Crest was nice on the beach, but again very isolated and shopping and dining experiences very limited unless using Uber. We also Ubered over to Brown University for our own tour of the campus the first night we arrived. Between the cost of Uber rides and having to pay extra for local tour guide tipping (Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Boston) in addition to Collette's guide and bus driver, I feel the tipping for local guides should have been paid by Collette and more stops could have been added to the tour (Paul Revere House, Bunker Hill, more time in P-town as well as downtown Falmouth! One other note. The local Boston tour guide *personal details removed by Feefo* should refrain from making political statements while doing the tour. She made a comment that was offensive to me. At Old North Church she spotted a baby who was wearing an outfit with elephants and made the remark that she hoped the baby wasn't a Republican!! I was tempted not to provide any tip at all.

In Providence, RI we saw Water Fire which was a added gift for the trip. *Personal details removed by Feefo* informed us about it and walked us to the location. Excellent Overall. Whale watching in "PTown"

Can't think of only one-historical Boston, Gingerbread houses, whale-watching, lobster bake.

The overall tour was interesting & informative. Our dining experiences were excellent choices! My favorite day was the trip to Plymouth & the cranberry bogg. My least favorite day was the trip to Nantucket. Shopping became boring at that point. I wished that I could have seen the shipwreck museum on Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard; I do not remember which island. The local guides and the video on the bus added good information to the trip. Camaraderie on the bus made every day of the trip enjoyable.

My most memorable experience was the Plimouth Colony tour and meeting the actors that portrayed the Puritans. They were excellent!

As a single woman traveling alone I felt safe and included. The sites were exemplary of the area and interesting. The tour guide ( name ****************) was very organized, professional, caring and well informed of what we were seeing.

Nantucket Island. So remote yet so welcoming and historic. Also loved the Boston Kennedy Library

Hotel accommodations disappointing. Enjoyed the tour itself but very unhappy with hotels which lowered overall review.

whale watching and Providence

We actually prefer European tours, as US ones could potentially be a road trip,... but then we'd still have the hassle of planning each night's lodging and activities. When we go on a trip, the one thing we do NOT want,... is to 'work' and deal with the stress and strain of getting around and trying to get into places. Plimoth Plantation was a 'must See' for us, as we are both long-time historical reenactors, with a passion for history and the old crafts. This time of year the village is barely manned, so was somewhat of a ghost-town (we made a road-trip there about 8 years ago in June and found the place to be bustling with much more to see and costumed reenactors to interact with) but the buildings are still there and a scattering of local characters,.... but for anyone wanting the complete experience of it, we can highly recommend you see it during the middle of Summer when the experience is pure Magic ! It was because of Plimoth Plantation that as a 6 year old on a school field-trip, I became enchanted with the idea of growing up to become a historical reenactor, and actually LIVING History. I am now over 34 years as a reenactor and a fine woodcarver who uses Only traditional tools,... my husband is a Black Smith,... I hand-sew and embroider historical clothing and we both have made many of our own shoes also. (Our European travels are primarily to museums and historical places we research)

I had no idea what a sand dune tour would be like, Chose it because of the rainy weather. This tour and guide in Provincetown was amazing.

Loved all the areas we visited and had great weather

Newport and Nantucket even more then I excepted. Our first hotel Providence we had problems with the bathroom but the second hotel was very nice and we stayed there the most so that worked out fine.

I think I just did in the previous screen. Not as good as the one I took two years ago!

The accommodations were not so great. I think they could have been better choices for where we stayed.

Would have like to be able to spend time exploring Freedom Trail in Boston instead of shopping stop. Whale watching in Provincetown was fantastic! Lots of whales and very close to boat. Could have spent more time in this town.

Cranberry farm was a highlight. A little too much shopping for me, I would rather see the sights and not necessarily want to shop. Like to learn the history of the areas we went to.

Enjoyed the Boston tour as well as Nantucket. Also appreciated the Dune tour as well.

We particularly liked the Providence and Newport,RI segments of the trip (walking distance to "Little Italy" in Providence and the waterfront in Newport). Provincetown and Nantucket were also neat locations with lots of small shops to go through looking for gifts for family back home.

Loved the tour manager and bus driver. They really tried to accommodate everyone. Hotel locations were great. My only complaint was there were too many activities on some days. My favorite experience was Nantucket. I loved the quaint cobblestone streets and the history of it.

The whole experience was very very good. Excellent might be stretching it a bit. The cranberry bog was a little iffy. The tour of Martha's Vineyard I feel we should've had a choice to stay in town or to see the rest of the island. Too much time spent looking it fields. I really enjoyed the history and the knowledgeable, interesting stories that our guide told. Even though I love history, the most memorable experience was the whale watching. We were told not to expect that type of experience again. It was very moving. I would say we must've seen over 100. The lobster on the beach was fantastic for a couple of midwesterners . The wine and cheese party and the beach was very special. The resort was a average. The location fantastic.

Whale watching on the last day of our tour was amazing! We were within 40-50 yards of a "school" of eight whales feeding. Wonderful experience.

Restaurant at the resort on Cape Cod was only fair.

We had a brief problem with a moldy shower curtain at the Hilton, but all we had to do was bring it to the attention of Hotel Management & the situation was corrected. Our tour guide went above and beyond as a Tour Manager. She professional, knows her stuff, and has everything under control. This tour was excellent! We come home not only having a great trip, but feeling we had learned a great deal of new information about this country.

Tour guide, Erin, was wonderful.

This was the second time I took this same tour. I took my daughter, two grand-daughters ages 91/2 and 14 years old for the wonderful history of our great America. I have not been disappointed at all with this Collette tour, it was better than the first time 6 years ago. All hotels and meals were excellent. Collette does the very best for their clients, helped with all handicapped people on the tour.

Loved visiting Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. The Pilgrim Plantation and the Mayflower II were great experiences as well.

Saw a lot of whales. Liked the itinerary, Saw a lot that we had never seen before.

The whale watch trip was fantastic. The dinners were wonderful. The hotels were very nice.

I have always been enamored with early American history. Going on this trip I was able to see many of the places I have only read about in books or seen pictures of. I would have liked to stop at some of the famous cemeteries to get some pictures of the headstones. Local tour guide-wise, the best one I feel is our guide in Nantucket. I also had an amazing time whale watching. I was expecting to see a couple, but we ended up seeing 15+ whales. The hotels were comfortable and the included meals were delicious.

Thought the breakfast's at the hotel along the beach didn't gave too small of portions. Like a buffett breakfast.

Nantucket van tour. The driver, Wendy was funny and knowledgeable.

We both loved the sand dune ride in Provincetown. It was beautiful, and enormous compared to other sand dunes we have visited.
