Pawtucket, RI (April 20, 2023) – Collette is celebrating Earth Day this year by continuing to do our part to keep the planet we love to explore healthy. This year, the longest running tour operator in North America planted nearly 3,000 trees, five for each employee, as part of employe appreciation week.

Plus, 100% of Explorations tours are carbon neutral… because we 100% love our world and know that travelers do, too. Plus, all Explorations tours include an Impact Moment – visits to social enterprises, nonprofits, and cultural or environmental conservation groups. These experiences create sustainable economic and social benefits for the community.

On top of that, Collette also recently signed the UN Global Compact.

Because we are committed to continuous improvement, we always look for ways to do better in every area of our business and in our 4 pillars: community, people, travel, and planet. We have become members of the United Nations Global Compact to further demonstrate our dedication to implement universal sustainability principals and take steps to support the United Nations Sustainability Goals.

By signing, we are joining more than 15,000 companies worldwide with shared values who are setting in motion changes to business operations so that the UN Global Compact and its Ten Principles become part of strategy, culture and day-to-day operations. We have lots of work to do, and it is not going to be a quick process, but we’ll continue working towards improvement in each area of our business. This is a big step forward towards more responsible and sustainable business.

“We’re proud to do our part in making business, and travel, a force for good,” said Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, president and chief customer experience officer at Collette. “At Collette we’re consistently working to ensure that we do our part to take care of our planet.”
