Collette announces roll out of robust safety and security preparedness model

Collette forms emergency response team and strategy to formalize a safety and security rollout plan for its global headquarters

Pawtucket, RI (June 23, 2017) – Collette, an international tour operator, has implemented an Emergency Response Team (ERT) as part of a robust preparedness model, reinforcing a strong commitment to the safety and security of all employees.

Through a partnership with the City of Pawtucket, the State Fire Marshall’s office, and the Emergency Management Association, Collette’s ERT will conduct its first emergency drill today, leading fellow employees to designated rally points surrounding the building in an effort to prepare for an emergency evacuation. The 45 person employee team has been certified in CPR/First Aid Safety & AED, active shooter preparation, and emergency preparedness to assist in various situations.

“Our focus is to strengthen Collette’s continuous effort to keep the workplace safe and secure for all employees. Establishing an ERT, partnering with outside organizations, and conducting routine drills to simulate emergency situations will allow our employees as well as those partners to prepare for these situations.” said Michael Vendetti, Director of Property, Safety and Security at Collette.

“When emergencies occur, every second is precious,” said Antonio J. Pires, Pawtucket’s Director of Public Safety. “Working closely with Collette has allowed our police, fire, and emergency management teams to familiarize themselves with Collette’s campus and assist them in their emergency planning. We applaud them for proactively working to keep their employees safe and secure.”

Collette plans to roll out a similar model in all four of its global offices in 2018.
